asSalaam ‘alaykum warahamtullah,
Got the following message from a dear brother - please read!
Assalamoalaikum warahmatullah,
The largest earthquake to hit South Asia in a century devastated the region on the morning of Saturday, October 8, 2005. The 7.6 magnitude earthquake affected Kashmir, Pakistan, India, and Afghanistan, destroying entire towns and villages. Over 40,000 people were reported dead, and an additional 3 million were left homeless. Over 5 million people, men, women, children, and elderly have been affected by this disaster whose epicenter was close to Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistani-administered Kashmir.
On behalf of Islamic Relief, you and your family are cordially invited to attend our dinner to learn about the current situation of your brother’s and sister’s in the land of Kashmir. The earthquake may have been in late 2005, but the effort to rebuild their lives is far from over.
Our dinner will be held this Friday May 11th at 7:30 p.m. at the University of Houston, University Center, located at 4800 Calhoun Rd. The evening will begin promptly with Maghrib salah, heart felt stories and updates about the situation in Kashmir and Islamic Relief project updates from Br. Azhar Azeez and Imam Johari Abdul Malik, a video presentation, eye-witness accounts, and nasheed and poetry performances to end the night. Tickets are $15 per individual and $40 per family and you may purchase them at your masjid or at the door. Babysitting is also provided by Straight Path Center at $10 a child.
It is our sincere wish to see you all there this Friday, insha’Allah. Please bring your family and all your family friends. If you have invitations this Friday, postpone then, and instead invite your friends to this more than worthy cause. Our Beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) once said: “Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity” (At-Tirmidhi). And Allah the Most High says, “And be steadfast in your prayer and pay charity; whatever good you send forth for your future, you shall find it with Allah, for Allah is well aware of what you do (2:110)”.
If you found yourself in a similar situation you would hope the people of Kashmir and your brother’s and sister’s around the world would come running to your aid. Please take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to help those who are in desperate need of our help. We hope that you make this event your priority to answer the cries of our Muslim brother’s and sister’s half-way across the world!
For more information, please feel free to contact me at (832) 656-7618 or you may email me at imran@crescentyouth.com. If you are unable to attend, please be sure to generously donate online at http://www.irw.org.
Wasalamualikum warahmatullah
Imran Abbas

asSalaam ‘alaykum wa Rahamtullah,
Masha’Allah this is an awesome workshop by Ahmed Sidky. The recording was done at UT Austin on Friday February 9th, 2007. The same workshop but a little bit more detailed and intensive one was done at Masjid alHamza - Mission Bend Masjid on Saturday, February 10th, 2007 from ‘Asr to Isha which was recorded by Muslim Audio, alhamdulillah! So look out for the professional and official recording of this product soon from Muslim Audio!
This is a decent quality recording of the workshop by a brother from the UT MSA. I have edited the tracks due to the enormous length and split them according to the stages that Ahmed Sidky talked about. The Hereafter which includes Death, the Grave, the Last Day, Hellfire and Paradise, are fundamental concepts that every Muslim should know about. The more one knows about these concepts the more he or she will find his/her eeman increasing. Other concepts from the Hereafter like the Signs of the Day of Judgment are not mentioned in this lecture. Ahmed Sidky also did this awesome talk at the ISNA Dallas Conference in the summer of 2006 about Paradise which literally had the entire crowd in tears. Insha’Allah once I get a hold of that I will try to upload it as well. Allah Knows Best. The Total Run time for the entire recording of this workshop is about 3 Hours and 4 Minutes! Enjoy!

In the Footsteps of the Prophet (SAW) - Shaykh Bin Baz (RA) by Shaykh Waleed Basyouni
The quality of the lecture isnt that great so you might need to increase the volume pretty high.

Mad props to Br. Haytham for recording it and getting it to me. May Allah have Mercy on him!
