Adhaan from Dammaaj, Yemen: Shaykh Yahya alHajooree

asSalaamu ‘alaykum wa Rahamtullaaah,

Masha’Allah a dear brother (AbdulHasib) sent me this audio recording entitled “Giving the Adhaan according to the Sunnah”. Shaykh Yahya alHajooree – hafidhuhullah – is giving the adhaan in this 2 minute piece. I haven’t been able to find a bio of Shaykh Yahya alHajooree on the web in English. If someone does then please comment with the link, jazakAllahu khayran. From what I have heard he is heading up Dar alHadeeth in Dammaaj, Yemen. The madrasah is like a camp style setting where they have a traditional method of instruction. They have classes for beginner students as there are many foreign students over there. Also they have accomodations for sisters to study as well as Shaykh Muqbil’s – rahimullah – daughter is an alimah and she intructs the female students form what I understand. If anyone knows better then please correct me. jazakAllahu khayran. waAllahu ‘Alam.

ill fristley start off with Dammaj then the shakyh inshallah.

    bismillahirahmaniraheem
well dammaj it is a islamic centre for islamic teachings and predications as must of you are aware of. its very good place for new beigners that are willing to learn about the manhaaj and ahlu sunnah waljamara and of the Salaf, dammaj is a very different soicety to out western world and saudi arabian world as it is a place coverd with sand the houses are all built of clay and say, so are the rooms which single students will be leaveing in if they are not married, there is no fitnah as for women or any kind of destrutions, also this place is a very very small town there is about 4 phone shops where you can make your calls and 4 internet shops, and yes as our brother said there are many foreign students from the uk and the united states.

As for Shaykh Yahaya he is the the sheikh of dammaj he was one of the frist students of shakyh muqbil, when he frist came to dammaj he was obviously not a dammaji (people from the town) so he was from other citties in yemen, he was not familar with place as the masjid was only a room at the time, and the enviroment was very deffrient to sanaa and mostley all other cites in yemen the place is very poor and has few shops.

i dont have much time right now brothers ill have to go i will provide you with all the information you need about dammaj the people and the shakyh himslef another time inshallah if you have any questions acording to dammaj or need any or if you thinking about going there please email me on my eamil adress.

    jazaklahurayran.

It is proper for the one who seeks to be accepted to study with us (the following conditions).

      1) To be a Salafi with good manners.

      2) To be one that is recommended by one of the Ulama of the Sunnah or from a student of knowledge who is known to be. If that cannot be accomplished then after he arrives if I know from him from what is contained in the first condition then he would be accepted inshallah.

      3) For me to know his name as soon as he comes so that I would give him permission to seek knowledge. And I may direct him to what I would see would benefit him.

      4) The one below the age of puberty is not accepted except if he has someone who is responsible for his upbringing.

      These are our conditions.

And with Allah is the guidance.

Abu Abdir Rahmaan. Yahya Ibn ‘Ali Al Hajuuri.

    Bismi Allaahi Al-Rahmaani Al-Rahiem

AsSalaamu 3alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakatuh, ya ikhwaanin fi deen,

Inshaa’ Allaahu Ta3ala you are in a good state of imaan and health.

I am a 16 years old Muslim from the Netherlands, I reverted to Islaam at the age of 14, walhamdoulillaah. Currently, I am learning Arabic at the masjid. When I reach the age of 18 inshaa’ Allaahu Ta3ala I would wish to go to Dammaaj to study there, so that after 6/12/20/…. years I can inshaa’ Allaahu Ta3ala return to the Netherlands, to do da3wah to both Muslims and non-Muslims, since in the Netherlands we do not have reliable shuyukh (most of the du’aat are ahl ul-bid3ah, are majrooh, a3oedhu billaah). I am from the manhadj as-Salafiyyah. I will inshaa’ Allaahu Ta3ala be married when I can head for Dammaaj, inshaa’ Allaah.

Are there any brothers, who might provide me with information about how to get into Yemen, how to go to Dammaaj etc. inshaa’ Allaahu Ta3ala?

Those brothers can contact me by email, inshaa’ Allaah, my email adress is:
    florianvdzee at live dot com

    Baraaka Allaahu feekum.

Wa salaamu 3alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakatuh,

akh fi deen Abdul-Fattah Abu Mahir Al-Hollandi
